Our approach

A system that keeps working

Most IT partners work in phases: advise, build, leave. We work differently. Our role does not end at delivery, because software only delivers value when it remains maintainable for years and your team can still work with it.

Our philosophy

We tend, we don't just deliver

A software environment is like a garden. At delivery everything looks fresh and well-considered, but without care it gets overgrown within a year. Pruning what no longer serves, planting what next year will need, removing weeds before they take over the paths. That work never disappears, it only changes shape.

That is how we look at IT. Our people are gardeners, not contractors handing over a finished house. Our clients are landowners who want to see their estate evolve, not buyers of a finished product. That difference shapes every decision we make, from how we build to how we invoice.

How we work

Three lanes that run in parallel

From day one of a partnership, three lanes run in parallel. No funnel, no linear path from phase one to phase three. The mix shifts over the years, the structure does not.

Lab

Safe experimentation

A protected environment where your team experiments with new tools, AI and ideas before they go to production.

  • Working with real data, no production risk
  • We provide the framework and senior guidance
  • Your own team brings the domain knowledge
  • You build the muscle to keep innovating yourself

Production

Build, repair and integrate

Where new software is created and existing systems are connected to what you need today.

  • Custom applications built from scratch
  • Reworking code that is no longer maintainable
  • Connecting to your ERP and other systems
  • Always built to remain workable in year five

Maintenance

Tending and evolving

The lane that becomes most important over time. Every new application adds maintenance work that comes together here.

  • Updates, monitoring and security patches
  • Small adjustments when your processes change
  • Accumulated knowledge of your systems and history
  • Not replaceable by contracts, only by experience
In the Lab, you are the chef. We provide the kitchen.

We provide the safe space, the tools and the judgement on when an idea is ready to go to production. You bring the recipe, because only your organisation knows what it needs to grow. Many AI consultants experiment for the customer and deliver a PowerPoint. We facilitate together with your team, so the knowledge stays with you.

Who you'll be working with

Three roles, fixed points of contact

In every partnership you know your fixed contacts by name. In larger packages there are three of them, in smaller packages some roles are combined by the same person. Together they cover the three things every partnership needs: strategic judgement, a working relationship, and reliable execution.

01

Strategic Lead

Thinks long-term with you. Which technology choice today won't you regret three years from now? When is an experiment ready to move to production? Not the person you call for an incident, but the one at the table when you make a major decision.

02

Partnership Lead

The face of the partnership, week after week. Holds the context of your organisation, communicates with everyone involved on your side, and makes sure priorities match your reality. Whenever something is unclear or sensitive, it goes through this person.

03

Operations Lead

Leads the engineering team that does the work. Responsible for planning, technical coordination and day-to-day follow-up. The engine of the partnership, with direct lines to the Strategic and Partnership Leads.

AI as an accelerator

AI is not our product, it's how we work

Many companies buy AI tools without a plan and a year later no one understands how it all fits together. We use AI differently. It runs through all three lanes, not alongside as a separate product. It helps us build faster, analyse faster, document faster and adjust faster.

But always with human oversight. No black boxes that no one can look under the hood of, no architecture that becomes incomprehensible within five years. We want the people who take over our work, or you reading along, to be able to follow everything.

How you stay in the loop

Visibility without micro-management

A retainer model only works when you have continuous visibility into what is happening. Not through a timesheet adding up quarter-hours, but through a steady rhythm of reports and conversations. We work with five mechanisms that complement each other.

What you receive every month and every quarter
Weekly sync (optional, 30 minutes)

A short alignment between your Partnership Lead and your side. What's live, where are the blockers, what's next? Not a meeting burden, but a rhythm.

Tending Report (monthly)

A written account of what we built, tended and learned over the past month. Which decisions are waiting on your input, what we see on the horizon. It's a narrative, not a timesheet.

Architecture Decision Records (per decision)

For every significant technical choice, we capture what we decided, why, which alternatives we considered, and what trade-offs we made. So anyone stepping in three years later, your new hire for example, can reconstruct the reasoning.

Quarterly Business Review (every quarter)

Once a quarter we sit down for a thorough review. How is the environment doing, what's on the roadmap, how is the mix between the three lanes shifting? A moment to recalibrate priorities and the partnership where needed.

Audit trail (on request)

Whenever you want, you can drill down to the level of code changes and deployments. Nothing is hidden, everything is reconstructable.

How a partnership starts

How we begin

A partnership always starts with a free strategic conversation. For clients who want to get to know us first before entering a longer engagement, there is the optional Groundwork Survey. After that, you choose a package that fits where you are.

0

Strategic conversation

Free, 1 hour

We listen, ask questions and look together for a genuine fit. No pitch deck, just an open conversation about where you are.

1

Groundwork Survey

Optional, EUR 4,500

A thorough analysis of your environment for those who want to get to know us first. You get a report, a scorecard, a list of risks and a roadmap.

2

Package selection

Garden to Estate

You choose the package that fits the scale of your business and the phase you're in. Switching is always possible later.

3

Quarterly evaluation

Adjusting together

Every three months we sit down to evaluate the partnership and adjust where needed.

Ownership

You can leave at any time, with everything intact

If we have to hold on to you to keep you, we have already lost the partnership.

You can decide to stop at any moment, with a structured handover and full ownership of your code, data, documentation and decision records. No hidden dependencies, no contractual trap.

What makes us hard to replace is the knowledge we have built up together over the years, not the papers we signed. We earn the partnership again every month, we don't assume it.

Ready for a conversation?

A first meeting is free and takes about an hour. We listen to where you are today and look together at whether a longer partnership makes sense.
